ESCOA Umpiring Fieldcraft Booklet
Attached to this post through the link below is a recently completed guide to umpiring fieldcraft produced by Neil Davidson on behalf of ESCOA. This should greatly assist new umpires, when combined with comprehensive knowledge of Laws and Playing Conditions, but also be of use to experienced umpires as we strive for a consistent approach.
Although this is primarily aimed at ESCOA appointed umpires, it was felt it would be useful for player umpires to see too.
One point to be reiterated from the introduction – consistency does not mean removing an individual’s style and character.
Thank you to Neil and the ESCOA team.
