Chance to Shine – Training Opportunities
Chance to Shine is a charity which gives children the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. Cricket Scotland and Chance to Shine have the opportunity to deliver the program in three areas in Edinburgh; Tynecastle (four primary schools), Wester Hailes (three primary schools) and Drummond (four primary schools). Chance to Shine are looking for Level 2 coaches who are available to go into schools during school hours and deliver the programme. The amount of hours vary depending on what their availability is, each school gets 32 hours of dedicated coaching/program time. Coaches will be put through a six-week ‘Create Development’ training program. ‘Create Development’ is a company who work closely with Chance to Shine in order to develop a successful programme. Coaches will also be provided with Chance to Shine kit and equipment. Coaches will be PVG certified through Cricket Scotland, they must have or be willing to obtain Safeguarding qualifications and First Aid.
