The Edinburgh Junior Cricket Association Trophy was orginated in 1891 and was played for annually until 1910. The Edinburgh Public Parks Association who were formed in 1921 started a knock-out tournament in 1922 for clubs who played their cricket in the Edinburgh Public Parks, and the Trophy from the earlier defunct association was re-instated.
